Help Rosana Heal After a Devastating Accident
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for our beloved friend and sister, Rosana Arantes, also known as Rosana Friederichs, who was recently the victim of a tragic accident. While crossing the street with her dog, Rosana was struck by a car. She is currently in the hospital in stable condition but has sustained a traumatic brain injury that will require a long and challenging road to recovery.
Doctors expect her to remain in the hospital for at least a month, followed by a minimum of four to six months of at-home care. During this time, Rosana will be unable to work and earn an income. As a self-employed hybrid prop and fashion stylist, interior designer, and mixed-media artist, her ability to support herself depends entirely on her ability to create—and right now, that simply isn’t possible.
In addition to losing her source of income, Rosana faces mounting hospital bills, future rehabilitation and care costs, and her everyday living expenses. We’re raising funds to help relieve the financial burden of her medical care and living costs during this critical time so she can focus fully on healing.
Rosana is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, but has made South Florida her home for many years—longer than she lived in Brazil. Her creative spirit, kindness, and resilience have touched so many. Her vibrant artwork even graced the cover of Aventura Magazine, exhibited at Art Basil, and the Louvre, a testament to her incredible talent and unique voice as an artist.
She is deeply loved by her family, with a sister in the UK and a mother, sister and brother in Brazil. But right now, she needs her extended family of friends, clients, neighbors, and kind-hearted strangers to rally around her.
If you are able to donate, any amount—big or small—will make a meaningful difference. And if you can’t give financially, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word. Every share brings us one step closer to easing Rosana’s burden and helping her recover.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity. Let’s help Rosana get back on her feet and back to doing what she loves.
With gratitude,
Rosely Arantes Nutley
(Rosana’s sister)
